Course Conditions
Conditions were pretty typical for Cairns, maybe a few minutes quicker than normal. Male winner Max Neumann posted a new overall course record, improving Braden Curries 2018 time by two minutes. Sarah Crowley improved her own bike course record from 2017.
Kona Qualifying
IM Cairns was the Asia Pacific Regional Championship and offered 3m and 3f Kona Pro slots. These will go to
- Radka Kahlefeldt, Penny Slater and Kate Bevilaqua for the women,
and - Max Neumann, Sam Appleton, and Henrik Goesch for the men.
Slots will be accepted at the awards ceremony. All Kona qualifiers can be found here.
