Challenge Taiwan 2013 – Analyzing Results

Race Conditions

This was the first time for Challenge Taiwan, and the feedback for the race was pretty good. Based on the times, the course was medium fast  (adjustment of 8:11, comparable to France or Arizona), mainly on the strength of a fast bike course – a bike adjustment of 14:08 indicates that the course might have been a bit short.

Male Race Results

Dylan McNeice made it two for two: After winning the slow Challenge Wanaka he also won the faster Challenge Taiwan. He’s further improved his rating, it’ll be interesting to see how he’s going to do in a stronger field. (In his IMTalk interview he mentioned that he plans to race Challenge Roth.)

Female Race Results

On the female side, Belinda Granger managed to win another IM-distance race (“didn’t think I had one more in me”). Hillary Biscay also had a “super fun” day finishing in second, managing to beat Kate Bevilaqua who had a “frustrating day”.
