IM Louisville and Canada 2011 – Analyzing Results – Four out of four predicted winners!

Last weekend, we had two exciting races finalizing the KPR rankings for 2011. A number of athletes tried to snag some final points, and we’ll have a closer look at the Kona qualifiers in the next few weeks.

This weekend was exciting for Thorsten’s Triathlon Ratings as well: We managed to predict all the winners for this weekend – so we must be doing something right!

IM Louisville

Race Conditions

This year’s race was the fastest one in Louisville – an adjustment of 10:47 leads to a new course rating of 3:31.

Male Results

After a bit of an injury break, Chris McDonald came back with a solid race to win by a few minutes:

Nina Kraft overcame some struggles in the final part of the run to become one of the oldest winners of an Ironman:

The conditions in Canada were pretty typical with an adjustment of 4:57, barely changing the course rating to 3:20.
