I’ve started to work on my end-of-season Rating Report. In addition to some of the things that I’ve already posted on this blog or stuff that has been discussed on the IMTalk podcast, there will also be some new material. As the Kona report, it will be a 10-page-or more PDF file with tons of information for the “data geeks”, looking back at the 2011 Ironman-distance season. If you haven’t done already, please subscribe to my mailing list using the form in the right-hand column and I’ll let you know when it’s available. I’m quite busy in the next week, but I plan to have it out by mid-January.

January 14th Update: The report is almost done, I’m at 30+ pages and have some small editing tasks left. I will publish early next week. If you want to be notified as soon as it’s available, please use the form in the right-hand column to subscribe to my mailing list!

My friends over at the IMTalk podcast are helping me to come up with some ideas for interesting analysis at the end of the 2011 season. They have made this their “weekly discussion”. Last week, I had the chance to discuss my Kona predictions on the Simon Gowen Triathlon Show on LA Talk Radio. I had a great time comparing notes with Simon, Belinda Granger and Timothy Carlson. I’m currently working on a Rating Report that looks at some of the data I’ve collected and analyzed during this year. The report will focus on

• the Kona pro field (men and women),
• the previous results of the Kona participants and
• my predictions for Kona 2011.

I think that it is going to be a 10-page-plus PDF that will be the ideal information to have when following the Kona coverage. There is a form in the sidebar where you can leave your name and email and I will send the report to you as soon as its done. (You can also send me an email with your email address.) Of course I won’t spam you, but will send out some interesting statistical data.
