Here’s a link to the female race results: Ironman Hawaii 2022.

Here is a list of resources for Kona 2022 (female race on Thursday, October 6th, male race on Saturday, October 8th):

Here are a few more pointers to information from other Triathlon media:

  • US “Triathlete Magazine” has a “Kona Hub” as a jumping-off point for all their posts. (Some posts can only be accessed with their subscription.)
  • Tim Heming has written about the female and male races for the British “220 Triathlon”.
  • German-language readers will want to check out “HI Live” from triathlon, the leading German triathlon magazine. They will also post links to their “Kona Daily” Video series.

Ironman Italy 2022 (WPRO-only) – Analyzing Results

IMItaCourse Conditions

The race had to be postponed by one days when there was a severe weather warning for the original race day on Saturday. With the really fast bike times, it seems that may have resulted in shortened bike and run courses which means that I’m probably not going to accept these times as course records.

Kona Qualifying

There was one female Kona Pro slot on the line, this will be offered to

  • Svenja Thoes

Ironman Wisconsin 2022 – Analyzing Results

IMWICourse Conditions

If you have followed the live coverage, you will have seen that this year’s race had horrible conditions with cold rain all day. As a consequence, the times were about 20 minutes slower than what we typically see in Madison.

Kona Qualifying

Wisconsin offered one male and one female Kona Pro slot. These will go to the winner

  • Brent McMahon
    and
  • Chloe Lane.

You can find all Pro qualifiers for Kona 2023 here

Ironman Wales 2022 – Analyzing Results

IMWalesCourse Conditions

As always, IM Wales was hard with only slow times. Joe Skipper had some issues on the bike losing a fair amount of time, but was still able to post a new course record, improving on Arnaud Guillaux’s time from 2019 by more than 12 minutes. Of course, this required him also posting a new run course record – his 2:37 marathon was 11 minutes quicker than the 2011 time set by Jeremy Jurkiewicz with a 2:48.

Kona Qualifying

IM Wales is the start of Kona 2023 qualifying. With only one slot and no previously qualified athletes, this slot will go to

  • Joe Skipper

I have created a new page showing all athletes qualified for 2023.
