Ironman Arizona 2018 – Analyzing Results

Arizona is a quick course, and this year’s adjustment of 14:47 is almost exactly to the 14:45 course rating. While the men’s winning time was one of the slowest in recent years (usually a sub-8 is required to win), the female race was very quick with Heather Jackson setting a new US fastest time and Jen Annett posting a new bike course record. (Heather and Carrie Lester were also under the old bike record, while the overall course record is still held by Chrissie Wellington who won with an 8:36 in 2010.)
