Course Conditions
This year was another quick race in Brasil (adjustment of 25:52 for a new course rating of 21:33), especially the bike with a tight lead group produced fast bike times (adjustment of 21:25, one of the fastest ever in Florianopolis). But a slower, challenging run is also typical for Brasil, and some athletes struggled after what was likely a “bit too fast” bike leg. After some stand-out results in recent years (such as last year’s 2:26 marathon), no new course records were set this year.
Kona Qualifying
IM Brasil offered 3 Pro slots each. These will be offered to:
- Willi Hirsch, Youri Keulen and Arnaud Guilloux,
and - Romina Biagioli, Pamella Olliveira and Julie Iemmolo.
