Course Conditions
This year was another quick race at IM Hamburg, this year’s adjustment of 30:45 was even quicker than last year and the Hamburg pre-race average of 22:58. The wetsuit swim was about average for Hamburg, followed by a fast bike and a quick run. A sub-8 finish was never a reasonable proposition, so no discussion was required of whether the 177k bike course should be accepted or not. Solveig Loevseth posted a faster bike time than Daniela Bleymehl’s course record from 2024 (on a different but overall even quicker course). Overall, a couple of new national records were set, e.g. Katrine for Denmark, Marjolaine for France, Lisa for Austria or Marta for Poland.
Kona Qualifying
IM Hamburg offered six female Pro slots. These will be offered to:
- Laura Philipp
- Marjolaine Pierre
- Lisa Perterer
- India Lee
- Fenella Langridge
and - Kaidi Kivioja
Six athletes in the Top 11 were already qualified before IM Hamburg: Solveig Loevseth, Katrine Graesboell Christensen, Lotte Wilms, Marta Lagownik, Kate Curran and Charlotte McShane.
