Kona Qualifying

Male Race Participants

A few athletes are looking to score some more points in order to qualify for Kona:

  • Marino Vanhoenacker (in case he’s interested in a slot) would be okay with a podium finish.
  • Chris McDonald and Andreas Raelert will need a win to get close to qualifying, but even then a slot is not safe for Andreas.

Female Race Participants

Lauren Brandon is already qualified, but she announced that she still plans to race Mont Tremblant. Others will still need some points:

  • Rachel Joyce (in case she decides to race again so soon after Whistler) would need a fifth place to be safe for a slot.
  • Darbi Roberts, Magali Tisseyre and Brooke Brown will need a second place or a win if they want to have a chance to make it to Kona.
