Ironman Chattanooga 2017 – Analyzing Results

IMChooRace Conditions

As usual, IM Chattanooga’s “main feature” was the blazingly fast swim (+16:16 adjustment). The bike was somewhat slower and the run times were “slow” across the board compared to other courses. The combination lead to 5:37 adjustment, pretty slow conditions for Chattanooga.

Ironman Italy 2017 – Analyzing Results

IMItalyRace Conditions

This was the first edition for IM Italy. The course seems to be of average quickness, comparable to Cozumel (but a bit faster run in Italy) or Mont Tremblant. The swim and bike were relatively quick (even though the bike was supposedly long), and the run was “average”. Both the men’s and the women’s race were decided on the bike, with Andreas Dreitz and Lucy Gossage putting 13 minutes (Andreas) and 6 minutes (Lucy to Tine, and more than 10 to the other women) into the the rest of the field.
