Ironman Malaysia 2024 – Analyzing Results
Course Conditions
The conditions in Malaysia have always been tough, and this year was quite typical: The heat and humidity makes the run especially hard. The last race in Langkawi was five years ago, and there were a number of new course records set. On the men’s side, Fernando Toldi broke the old run course record by Javier Gomez and the old, overall course record by Bryan Rhodes from 2002 – by eleven seconds! In the female race, winner Regan Hollioake set a new swim, bike and overall course record, while Ktie Remond set a new run course record.
