2012 Rating report is ready for download!

TTR Rating Report 2012As last year, I’ve put together a Rating Report analyzing the results of last year’s long distance racing season.

The report contains the following information:

  • My “Long Distance Trivia Questions” and answers
  • The TOP 10 overall Ratings and for each leg
  • The TOP 10 performances of the 2012 season
  • The 2012 Money List
  • A discussion on the KPR and qualifying strategies
  • Course Ratings
  • plus a lot more statistics.

If you are just a little bit interested in IM-distance triathlons, this is a must-read! The feedback from my “beta-readers” has been very positive.

Updated TOP10 Ratings and Course Ratings

After the Kona and Florida races (and some minor adjustments in my methodology), I’ve updated the TOP10 Ratings and Course Ratings pages. I will probably post a longer analysis in my planned end-of-year rating report, but here are some highlights:

  • Andreas Raelert is back in the #1 spot. (He slipped to #2 after Crowie’s great race in Melbourne and his sub-par race in Frankfurt, but the Kona results moved him back to the top.)
  • On the women’s side, Chrissie got dropped from the rankings (no race for more than a year). My new #1 is Rinnie, even if she is only slightly ahead of Mary Beth Ellis and Caroline Steffen.
  • On the course ratings side, I still have to do some catching up for the summer races, but IM Sweden is currently the fastest course (although with just one race so far we may see some changes next year).

Any suggestions and observations are welcome!

Kona 2012 Rating Report is ready for download!

As last year, I’ve created a Kona Rating Report for the upcoming race in Hawaii – again with a great title photo by Rich Cruse.
Title pageIt contains tons of information on

  • the Kona pro field (men and women),
  • a look at the 2011 Kona results,
  • results of the qualifying races for Kona 2012 and final KPR standings and also
  • the previous results of the Kona participants.

This year, the report also contains a lot more predictions:

  • odds for winners and TOP3 athletes
  • an analysis on who’s racing well in Kona
  • a “statistical guess” on the standings after the bike
  • a closer look at run capabilities, including run comparison matrix

The Kona Rating report is the ideal information to have when following the Ironman Kona coverage! Initial feedback by my subscribers has been very positive (“wicked work”, “absolutely incredible!”). If you’re looking forward to the race, I’m sure you’ll like it, too!
